Dirt Country Information

Dirt Country is located on 50 plus acres just south of Blanchester, Ohio on State Route 133. The facility has been owned and operated by Shannon and JoAnn King with the help of their children and grandchildren for 20 plus years. Since Shannon's passing in September of 2007 the racing business has been turned over to his youngest daughter, Cindy King. Cindy helps her mother, JoAnn manage the business along with Rocky Harris and JoAnn's grandchildren.

The business was originally opened strictly for the purpose of motocross racing but has expanded to hold five to six different types of events per year. The racing season starts in April and ends in October.

Dirt Country is known for holding one of the largest Demolition Derbies in the tri-state area at the end of October every year. These events are actually promoted by Back to Back Promotions (Don Long).

Dirt Country now holds approximately ten motocross events per racing season that are sanctioned with the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and District 11. These events are sponsored by a number of different organizations.

Dirt Country started promoting ATV/Motorcycle Dirt Drags a few years ago and has had some learning curves but the event has become a successful one. In 2008, Truck Dirt Drags were added to the list of events Dirt Country holds which proved to be a success. DC plans to hold 3 of each of these events in our upcoming seasons.

Dirt Country also promotes 4x4 Mud Drags. This event was developed for the people with trucks, jeeps, or whatever that just want to have some fun in the mud.

Dirt Country continues to add new events from season to season and are open to new ideas.
